URBAN MUMMIES
Installation, photo, 2017, stone, bandage, wood, bitumen, 35x35x60 cm
SYNOPSIS
The wrapped, hidden objects are part of research on the theme of the viewer’s trust towards the artist in contemporary art. Each object is found in the city space, and becomes living evidence of its life. It’s a game in a mummy - when you hide, you wrap the object, but no one knows what’s inside.
The artist enters into a dialogue with the viewer, gives a hint - places another subject of a similar shape next to the hidden object. Viewers them- selves choose whether to follow the path suggested by the artist.
